On the way to Monschau, Hubert pointed out some of the remaining Westwall or Seigfried anti tank line of "dragon's teeth" that protected the Western German border. Here we are crossing ever so briefly into Belgium! Today the kids play on the massive concrete stones. There was still tons of snow ont he way- but the roads were perfect, even in the hills. You can see one portion has an extra traction surface (the brown) that make the road even more safe. At the bottom is Monschau castle.
